COVID-19 General Symptoms & Information

Transmission: spread from person to person through sneezing or cough, because respiratory droplets containing the virus can remain on surfaces even after the ill person is no longer near.

  • A person may be at higher risk if they are
    • An older adult
    • They have a serious chronic medical condition such as heart disease, diabetes, and lung disease
    • They smoke regularly
    • They are pregnant
  • People with food insecurities, financial hardship, housing insecurities, and limited access to healthcare are at greater risk for Covid-19

Undocumented individuals, educators, health care workers, and incarcerated people are more vulnerable to exposure.
