INFORMATION & REFERRAL
Independent Living Specialists work with individuals
regarding the broad-range of disability-related information and/or referrals.
ADVOCACY
Learn how to advocate for yourself and have your voice heard while acting for change that offers equal opportunity for people with disabilities.
PEER SUPPORT
Learn problem-solving solutions, share Successes and build relationships with other individuals with disabilities who may share your needs/concerns.
SAFER PLACES
A Safer Place is not a tornado shelter but a place where
the public can go to during a severe weather watch to
wait for the weather threat to pass.
VOTING CENTER
The disability vote matters! Exercise your right and independence this election year!
INDEPENDENT LIVING
Receive assistance relocating from an institution into your own place. Get help learning about the things you will need to be successful – such as finding housing, setting up utilities, and arranging and getting support from others.
COMMUNITY INTEGRATED SUPPORT SERVICES
At ILC-Mobile individuals with intellectual disabilities and significant disabilities receive physical therapy, speech therapy, assistive technology, skills and training, and job coaching services to empower them to live and participate in community activities and employment.
SKILLS & TRAINING
Learn the skills you desire to have to be independent every day and/or to live on your own. You can pick the areas on which you want to work, like budgeting, cooking, running your home, communication, transportation, relationships, or even how to speak up for yourself.
FACILITY RENTAL
The Independent Living Center of Mobile offers an accessible venue for receptions, fund raisers, lectures, training, workshops and business or community meetings.
